1. Who We Are

LiftLog is a mobile application built to help individuals log gym workouts, track progress, and connect with friends. LiftLog is operated by the LiftLog team ("we", "us", or "our").

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at logthelift@gmail.com.

2. Using LiftLog Without an Account

LiftLog can be used fully without creating an account. In this mode, all data stays on your device only:

This data is stored using local device storage and is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party when you are not signed in.

3. Accounts and Cloud Sync

You may optionally create an account using your email address and password. When signed in, the following data is stored securely on our servers (Supabase):

Your password is never stored or visible to us. Authentication is handled securely by Supabase Auth.

If a different account signs into the same device, locally stored data is cleared and replaced with that account's data to prevent data from mixing between users.

4. Profile Pictures

If you choose to set a profile picture, the image you select from your photo library is uploaded to secure cloud storage (Supabase Storage) and linked to your account. Your profile picture is visible to other LiftLog users who are connected to you as friends.

You can replace or remove your profile picture at any time from the Friends tab. Progress photos you add to your body transformation timeline are stored locally only and are never uploaded to our servers.

5. Friends and Social Features

LiftLog includes optional social features. When you use them:

You can turn off workout sharing at any time in the Friends tab. Removing a friend immediately removes their access to your activity. Social features require an account and are fully opt-in.

6. Photo Library Access

LiftLog requests access to your photo library for two purposes:

We do not upload any photos from your library other than the profile picture you explicitly select. All progress photos remain on your device only.

7. Feature Suggestions

If you submit a feature suggestion through the app, your suggestion text, display name, and account ID are stored in our database so we can review and act on your feedback. This information is not shared publicly or with third parties.

8. Crash Reporting (Sentry)

To help us identify and fix bugs, LiftLog uses Sentry, a third-party crash reporting service. When the app crashes or encounters an unexpected error in a production build, an anonymous crash report is sent to Sentry containing:

Crash reports do not contain any workout data, notes, or personal information. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

Crash reporting is disabled while the app is in development and only activates in production App Store builds.

9. Data Security

All locally stored data is protected by your device's built-in security:

Cloud-stored data is hosted on Supabase, which uses row-level security policies to ensure each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

10. Your Rights & Data Control

You are in full control of your data at all times. From the Stats tab in the app you can:

To request deletion of your account and all associated server-side data (workouts, profile, friends, comments, and profile picture), contact us at logthelift@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Uninstalling the app from your device will permanently remove all locally stored data.

11. Children's Privacy

LiftLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

12. Third-Party Services

LiftLog uses the following third-party services:

No advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers are used.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of LiftLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
